The La Maestra Family Medicine Residency Program’s mission statement is drafted in support of the institution’s overall GME mission of developing residency programs while optimizing program quality and enhancing the educational opportunities and experiences for residents and medical students to meet increasing regional and national health care needs.

La Maestra’s Family Medicine Residency offers holistic, team-based training within an FQHC, integrating medical, dental, behavioral health, and social services while serving diverse, underserved San Diego communities with comprehensive, compassionate care.
