Welcome to the La Maestra Family Medicine Residency Program

Founded on the mission to improving access and quality of care for all individuals and families, regardless of their ability to pay for services, La Maestra is proud to offer a community-centered residency experience in San Diego, California. With just two residents per class, you will receive personalized mentorship, hands-on training and the opportunity to care for economically-challenged individual and families with limited access to health and wellness resources.

At La Maestra, we provide compassionate and collaborative care to everyone. You will work alongside interdisciplinary teams, engage in quality improvement and scholarly projects, and develop the skills to become a physician who truly makes a difference in patients’ lives and overall health outcomes.
